Mary Beth Dark is a certified children and adult yoga instructor and mother of three.

Yoga for Children...

Yoga strengthens and stretches the body, builds coordination and skill, and encourages concentration. Yoga practice promotes self-confidence, awareness, and control. Children also learn to relax and reduce stress through breathing and visualization; these are skills for life!

Children's Yoga classes are scheduled based on interest and space availability. If you you are interested in a class listed below that is not on the current schedule, contact Mary.

Yoga for Children Ages 4-6

Fun inspirational classes that combine simple yoga poses with engaging songs, puppets, and stories that exercise social and motor skills while increasing flexibility.


Yoga for Children Ages 7-9

Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination. Children will learn how to focus and center themselves with various breathing and visualization techniques. They will also learn self-respect and respect for others with the practice of fun postures, group games, breathing and basic anatomy.


Yoga for Children Ages 10 & Up

Help build strength and flexibility with more physically challenging postures and flowing sequences. Promote self-confidence, awareness, and control. Visualization and breathing exercices are used for overall balance and concentration, which can be applied toward everyday situations.

Parent & Baby Yoga

A beneficial class for all new moms and/or dads. Get back in shape while having fun with your infant. Work the entire body (emphasis on the lower body and abdominal area) with simple, yet challenging yoga exercises to increase overall strength and flexibility in the entire body. Interact with your little one as you massage, smile, and play!

Parents will also learn gentle hands-on yoga exercises for the baby that help to build and stimulate growing muscles, aid in digestion, and promote better sleeping.
